Krampus is the Christmas Demon of Germanic folklore whose job it was to punish the kids on Santa's Naughty List has been featured here before.
The Krampus is a holiday fixture that’s popular in the Germanic countries. Created to really enforce the whole “better watch out” Christmas ideology, the Krampus is the pure evil that must exist to balance out St. Nick’s pure goodness. Legend has it that when the Krampus discovers a bad-apple kid, he grabs the tot with his tongue, throws the kid in a sack, and takes them back to his home for dinner.
And while most people assume he is a better-left-forgotten relic of less gentle times (or less gentle places), he appears to be having a resurgence this year, being featured everywhere from Buzzfeed to FearNet to The Awl to NPR. He's getting a piece of the Christmas merchandise blitz and of course he has his own website. There is Krampus music and he even speaks in his own defense. And of course, he has a 'Folk Death Metal' band named after him.
But the biggest Krampus Kontroversy is the result of television's food maven Anthony Bourdain, who wrote and had animated a cautionary Krampus story for the holiday edition of his show, which was rejected by his bosses at the Travel Channel. Fortunately, you can still see it on YouTube. Happy Holidays!

"This sweet boy. Oh man. I could just eat him up. Myles was diagnosed with autism at age 2. He is such a serious little man. He was turning 5 this past summer and we were planning his first real with friends party. This was the picture I took for his invite. I love his little face so much. In more ways then one this little guy is our superhero."

"My work is an outlet for me. A chance to reflect on the world around me. I’m often asked about my politics, what these masks mean, “what’s the point?” or “why would you?”. The art world wants to promote artists who further their politics, unfortunately independent thinkers don’t quite fit that mold sometimes. I don’t want my work to be a reflection of my personal politics, they’re there but I’d prefer to speak through my work rather than preach through it. The important things are 1) exploring creativity and imagination 2) making something manufactured in limited quantities into something one of a kind and handcrafted and 3) working with materials that I’m passionate about. Love it, hate it, misunderstand it or just plain get it… it’s art so it’s up to you to find your own understanding of it."
The annual Krampuslauf Graz, the “Krampus and Perchten” parade procession in Graz, Austria, brings out hundreds of seriously scary (but traditional) demons. This footage from Krampuslauf Graz 2010 shows several of these creepy child-devouring mythical creatures roaming the streets of Graz, looking for naughty children.
Brooklyn Ironhide by Peter Krokis
Gather up some parts from local household, hardware, drug, sporting goods, pet shop, and discount stores and make yourself a super badass custom autobot costume. Well, that's what Peter Kokis of Brooklyn Robotworks did and he calls his creation 'Brooklyn Ironhide.' It took Peter over 600 hours to create the suit and it weighs in at around 164lbs. Here’s the best part, though: You can hire this guy to show up to parties dressed in this get-up.

"I blownup my prop proportions.. again and this time is my wig. But if anyone is interested in how I made that bloated blob on my head pls show some signs haha (or i'll be beaten by procrastination.. again). Is a very silly but an effective method, imhoActually debutted this at Cosfest with an awesome team but I could only make it during late evening, thus haven't got the chance to greet a lot of friends. But at least I have some shots with teammates, I'm a happy Toph. Avatar team is so rare in Asia y'know D,:"
"Before you guys say anything! I've remade the top half of this costume since I've premiered it. Including the mask
Anyway, another Artemis shot from Youmacon, Elemental brought up a briliant point about the arrow on Arty's shirt... My eyes are up here, boys."

Yoko Littner (from Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann) by Kipi
Kipi is cosplaying as Yoko Littner from Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. Yoko is a young woman from Giha's neighboring village of Ritona. She had been tracking the Gunmen, which subsequently crashed through the surface and into Giha. She wields an extensive arsenal of weapons and has substantial experience fighting the enemy. She uses her outstanding soldiering skills and wise counsel to advance the war of liberation. She wears short shorts and a bikini top: as she states in episode 5, she avoids clothing which restricts her movement in combat situations. Due to her looks, several characters are instantly attracted to her including Simon and Kamina. She loves children and has a dream to become an elementary school teacher.
