"This picture's so cool. I'm just sad my collar had practically melted by that point! Well, it didn't actually MELT, but it was made of foam and the heat from being in good ol' Texas humidity all day had it slumping by the time these photos came around-- the collar will be the first thing I'm going to fix on this costume!

My beautiful Card Guard minions were made by Pockyfairy for our skit, and she did such an amazing job!! Believe it or not, little kids absolutely LOVED being chased by those charming fellows."

Masks: Half-Life Head Crab

Back in 2005, Steve Wang made this stunning Half-Life headcrab for his kid's Halloween costume, but he later adapted it into a display piece.  Once you've soaked a shirt through with a little fake blood, it looks damn convincing.

Video: 2011 Cosplay Highlights

Cosplay Highlights 2011 by Omaru

A really cool video from French photographer Omaru showing some of the best cosplay he caught on film during the last year.
So this is a special year ending video I did. It composes of all the great cosplay I’ve seen / taken photos / taken videos of this year (2011). This reflects MY OWN opinion alone so you can all hang me to death if you think that my list isn’t that good.

Video: Batgirl: Spoiled

Here's a trailer for the uber-fan film Batgirl: Spoiled.  The storyline centers on Stephanie Brown, former Spoiler and Robin.  She has struck out on her own and taken up the mantle of Batgirl.

Iron Man

This Iron Man costume

Source: The Sun via Walyou

Mark Pearson, a 44-year-old car mechanic from West Yorkshire spent 14 months creating it out of household items including an ashtray and 400 sheets of fiberglass covered cardboard. This was a true labor of love that started with a helmet, but snowballed into an entire suit. Unbelievably, the suit doesn’t even fit Pearson. It fell to his 6’2′ friend Darren Higgins to wear the armor at the local opening of The Avengers.
