"hi guys! this is a comic i made for a final in my comics in literature class. we had to do a research paper on a topic we’d discussed in class and then accompany it with a comic with a relevant subject. my paper was about hyper-sexualization of women in comic books, but i decided to broaden it out here as well as personalize it and make myself the subject and discuss something i’ve been subjected to in the convention circuit and on the internet as well as thousands of other women, as well as give a cue to thought about how the comic book industry as well as the video game industry and even just media in general (all of which are male dominated) push such ridiculous pressures onto girls and women.
also, it feels kind of silly to have to add this since i hope it’s obvious, but i am very aware that there are men that don’t subscribe to this attitude, and am incredibly grateful that these issues are brought to light to people other than the ones that are subjected to it."

Evan McIsaac made this video of himself lip synching Estelle and Janelle Monae's "Do My Thing" while wearing construction paper costumes of all of Sailor Moon's Sailor Scouts. All of them. The results are intentionally hilarious. If you enjoy the video, check out his channel, where he has a whole play list of himself engaging in various Sailor Moon hyjinx.
"Do My Thing by Estelle featuring Janelle Monae. I heard this song and thought of my Sailor Moon costumes made of construction paper. It took two packs of paper and a giant roll of duct tape to make this video.
Update: Janelle Monae tweeted my video, I'm so happy to know she liked it!
Update 2: io9, MTV, and NewNowNext have posted this! One step closer to being a guest on RuPauls Drag Race!
I'm incredibly humbled by how many views this has, and how overwhelmingly positive you all have been. Thank you so much for your support of my silly hobby."

Film shots from MCM Midlands & LSCC Expo's Feb 2013. This video couldn't be achieved without the dedication and patience of the cosplayers. This is the first time we've added After Effects to our video's and hope to progress in doing so. Please feel free to subscribe to keep notified for the next upload from MCM May Expo. Thank you to everyone who participated.
The Dead Space series is a hugely successful franchise now its third incarnation that follows engineer Isaac Clarke as he explores the mining ship Ishimura, which has been overrun by necromorphs (space zombies). I've always thought the series would make great fodder for a live action movie series, and I'm pleased to see that I'm not the only one.
"I'm a fan of Science Fiction, Filmmaking, and Video games, so I clashed it all together in one video, DEAD SPACE: Chase to Death. I hope that I will be able to continue making live action video game trailers. It's so much fun. I hope you enjoy it, especially the creators of Dead Space. Thanks for the inspiration and encouragement to travel into the horror of outer space. I also want to thank my amazing crew for sticking with me til' the bitter end of space. Onto the next one...maybe Dead Space: Collusion or Dark Souls II"
Imperial Fists Captain Septimus Tancred in Terminator Armor (from Warhammer 40K)
Photographed by Maibritt Ha Ji Pedersen, Ulrich V. Blücher, Morten Rathje Kindberg
This fully wearable suit of armor was built over the course of two months at a cost of two thousand dollars in materials, and it looks to have been worth every penny. It's worth mentioning that Roses and Boltshells also make custom props and cosplay accessories, if you're interested in getting your hands on some of their excellent craftsmanship yourself.
