Fan Film: The OMEn Chronicles

It's been two years since the last Harry Potter movie came out, but thanks to a filmmaker named Wren Weichman, fans get to return one last time in a fan made series called "The OMEn Chronicles." The series is set in the Harry Potter Universe fifteen years after the events of J.K. Rowling’s last book.

The series doesn't feature any familiar faces the books, but fans will recognize the spells being used by the new characters, even if this time around they're said with American accents.
"In a world filled with magic, one mysterious person tries to keep a forgotten power safe from both the Officers of OMEn and the Evil forces wanting to corrupt it."

Fan Film: Dark Knight Legacy

"The Dark Knight Legacy" Directed by Brett Register from Machinima

Though it's over a year old now, there’s still a debate raging as to the meaning of the conclusion of The Dark Knight Rises. Did Bruce Wayne survive or was Bruce's uncanny appearance in the cafĂ© mearly a figment of Alfred's imagination? Did John Blake become Robin or Nightwing or even a new Batman?

While there the answer to the first question will never be definitively settled, the answer to the second question is much more clear. Remember Wayne's quote from Batman Begins: "As a man, I’m flesh and blood; I can be ignored, I can be destroyed. But as a symbol…as a symbol I can be incorruptible. I can be everlasting." Clearly, Blake is intended to rise to fill Batman's shoes, validating the entire point of the trilogy.

Sadly, we're never going get to see Nolan's version of Blake's story, but director Brett Register has harnessed the fanatically following of Christopher Nolan's trilogy to create a fan film that offers up some closure. It's called The Dark Knight Legacy, and it's fairly brilliant. Set one year after the events of The Dark Knight Rises, The Dark Knight Legacy follows John Blake's adventures as Nightwing, defending Gotham City from a new villain known as the Red Hood.
"Dark Knight Legacy is a fan film set one year after the Dark Knight Rises, following "Robin" John Blake's heroic journey to protect the symbol of Batman from the lethal, relentless attacks of a masked vigilante known only as the Red Hood."

Fan Film: Batman: Puppet Master

"Someone's been letting inmates out of Arkham Asylum...

In the months following the death of Harvey Dent, Batman, still a wanted fugitive, is pushed to his limits as a new crime wave hits Gotham. Batman's search to find who's responsible leads him to a showdown with the masochistic serial killer Victor Zsasz.

Meanwhile Gotham's newest crime boss, a mysterious figure known as Scarface, has a meeting with Edward Nigma, an FBI agent, sworn to bring down Batman at all costs."

Fan Film: Skyrim: Into the Void

Read an interview with one of the short film's creators, Landon Sperry.

This astonishingly well-made fan film for Skyrim could very well be a trailer for an HBO adaptation of the game.
"Dovahkiin, the noble dragonborn hero, is cursed in a fight with a vampire. He spends a considerable time wandering the realm before being captured by the Dark Brotherhood, who offer him a deal. Dovahkiin agrees to help the Brotherhood save a captured member from the Necromancers, in exchange for a cure to his vampirism."

Fan Film: The Last of Us

I absolutely loved The Last of Us.  Not only is it one of the most visually stunning games I've ever played, it was also boasted one of the most moving storylines I've ever experienced in a triple A game title.  That said, it must have taken a lot of self-restraint not to make this fan film a parody.  Come on, Ellie!  It's the zombie apocalypse.  Time to learn how to sneak across a room already!
"Joel, a ruthless survivor with few moral lines left to cross, lives in one of the last remaining Quarantine Zones. These walled-off, oppressive cities are run by what’s left of the military. Despite the strict martial law, Joel operates in the black market of the city, smuggling contraband for the right price.

Joel is asked by a dying friend to look after Ellie, a fourteen-year-old girl with courage beyond her years. What starts out as a simple job to deliver Ellie to another Quarantine Zone, soon transforms into a profound journey that will forever change Joel and Ellie.
As Joel and Ellie struggle to persevere, they must learn to trust each other and work together in order to survive the realities of this new world.

At its core, The Last of Us is about the bond that forms between Joel and Ellie – it is the story of love, loyalty, and redemption."
