This is epic. I never thought to see such elaborate "cosplay" for a novel that hasn't hit the big screen yet. Click

"Scott Lynch’s novel, set in the fantasy, Venice-like city of Camorr,
follows Locke Lamora and his gang of thieves as they attempt to pull off
the latest in a long line of increasingly elaborate cons on wealthy
nobles. Interrupted by a mysterious character known as The Grey King who
is seeking revenge in the criminal underworld aided by his powerful
sorcerer associate, they are dragged into a dangerous game of blackmail,
murder, double crossing and deception, all the while trying to keep
their original money making plans afloat.
Although the narrative has a distinctly contemporary feel there are
strong historical references which led me to look to 16th and 17th
century clothing as an inspiration starting point. Alongside historical
research I looked at current fashion as well as the textures and shapes
of the city itself. With a non-specific time period and a fascinating
array of characters from all levels of society to design for, I was able
to combine elements I liked from many different sources to create my
own style for the world of the story."
