Art: Anatomical Man
Professor Dr. Claudia Diaz
developed an innovative educational approach to engage graduates in
their study. over a period of 18 hours, a student volunteer was fully
transformed into a highly-detailed, and biologically accurate anatomical
man. with the help of body paint and models, a team of five students
meticulously concealed his entire body in layers of pigment,
painstakingly coloring the muscles and tendons to be scientifically
sound, in an indication of what the human body would look like if it
were to be stripped of the skin.

Culture: Body Image and Cosplay
Created by ArtCramps / ThumbCramps
"hi guys! this is a comic i made for a final in my comics in literature class. we had to do a research paper on a topic we’d discussed in class and then accompany it with a comic with a relevant subject. my paper was about hyper-sexualization of women in comic books, but i decided to broaden it out here as well as personalize it and make myself the subject and discuss something i’ve been subjected to in the convention circuit and on the internet as well as thousands of other women, as well as give a cue to thought about how the comic book industry as well as the video game industry and even just media in general (all of which are male dominated) push such ridiculous pressures onto girls and women.
also, it feels kind of silly to have to add this since i hope it’s obvious, but i am very aware that there are men that don’t subscribe to this attitude, and am incredibly grateful that these issues are brought to light to people other than the ones that are subjected to it."

Art: Alienation
"How many times we dreamed to change our life, city, job... flying away and being elsewhere! This series of portraits and interviews have been made to people that have big dreams and...a small rocket parked in their backyard. The concept on which is based my work "Alien-ation", is resumed in these few words: '…everyone has his small rocket, propelled in the blue of the outer space
with fragments of himself inside…'"

Art Project: Real Life Flemish Portraits
Real Life Flemish Portraits by Sacha Goldberger
Inspired by the Dutch master, Rembrandt, Goldberger enlisted a small army of costume, hair, and make-up designers to recreate the appearance of authentic Flemish costumes for this portrait series. "All of the animals are real," he says. "It was very complicated to shoot them, but also a very fun experience. I wanted my girlfriend to pose with the Marabou Stork," he continues. "Unfortunately, it escaped and flew all over the studio. It felt like we were in Jurassic Park. And I couldn't resist to shoot my grandmother."

Tattoo: Star Wars by Salvador Dali
This is a rib cage tattoo featuring Star Wars imagery imitating a Salvador Dali painting. It includes a "drippy" Jabba and Death Star drawn in the style of the clocks from Dali's "The Persistence of Memory" and a stick-legged Imperial Walkers drawn in the style of "Les Elephants" and "Dream Caused by the Flight of a Bee Around a Pomegranate a Second Before Awakening." Of all the Star Wars tatts floating around out there, this has to be the trippiest!
