"This is my worse and best cosplay. Worse because it took me forever to finish it, and all the details and materials that I was not used to work kept me desperate most of time.

Props: Cassandra’s Gear from Soul Calibur

The Soul Calibur series stands apart from other fighting series, such as Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter, and Tekken, in its focus on weapon-based combat rather than hand-to-hand matches. That makes it a particularly challenging subject for cosplay and much more impressive when someone manages to pull it off. 

Artist Harisson Krix of Volpin Props has recently been blogging about his work on creating replicas of Cassandra's Digamma Sword, Pauldrons, and Shield.  As you can see below, he's managed to make a remarkably realistic likeness.
